Throughout the previously released single albums, BIGBANG who proved their writing, singing and dancing skills finally released their first studio album. BIGBANG is the band known as an idol Hip Hop band to public, but they picked funky-pop tune Dirty Cash as their first single of the album.
Dirty Cash is funky pop tune and its light beat and melody lead whole track. High-tone vocal G-DRAGON leads most of melody part, and other singers – TAEYANG, DAESUNG and SEUNGRI – showed their pop style voice instead of R&B style voice. Even low-tone TOP sounded very light throughout the track.
In Dirty Cash, BIGBANG represents their age group’s thoughts on the social issues. It’s BIGBANG’s clever choice to pick Dirty Cash, because it differentiated BIGBANG’s way to criticize social issues from other idol groups’. Besides Dirty Cash, the album contains ‘She can’t get enough’, club banger ‘Shake It’ and other member’s solo numbers.
In ‘She Can’t Get Enough’, rapper G-Dragon and TOP showed their singing ability in the album, so it will make people think that they are not only good rappers but also good singers.
SEUNGRI introduces his solo number, "다음날 (The Day After)". The song has sad and mellow lyrics, and he expresses his emotion very well.
In BIGBANG’s first studio album, TOP the rapper showed more raw and tough rap through his solo track. His solo “BIG BOI” tells us where he is from – underground Hip Hop scene. His tight rhymes and flow will blow your mind and remind you what a good rapper he is. TOP also participates in track production as a composer and lyricist.
‘Shake It’ is a club banger opened with TOP’s aggressive rap. The track is produced by a new-generation producer group, BRAVE BROTHERS, and featured by sexy vocalist of MOOGADANG, EUNZU.
